stormtrooper
But if I did, I'd have to have a stroller like this one here :http://www.thingamababy.com/baby/2007/06/atatstroller.html

There is always a need to tower over those tiny rebels strewn about the floor.

Yep, I'm bored at work

LMAO your the second (or techinically the first) dude in a ROW to post this on my flist.

But my question: where's the deluxe tauntaun edition with a convenient pre-made gash in the stomach to stow the baby in cold weather. THE PARENTS OF THE ICE PLANET OF HOTH DEMAND AN ANSWER!

The tauntaun is a Toy's R US/Target exclusive and is single packed in boxes and therefore has already been grabbed off the shelves by scalpers and sold on eBay. So no normal parent can find it.
21st-Jun-2007 11:05 pm (UTC) - The Kiss - and Movies supporting H/Hr
The differences between the book and movie versions of GoF are interesting. It always seems that people involved with the movies are always R/Hr, yet, they have the scene in the movie where Hermione and Harry share a hug before the first task, which is a very H/Hr moment. How many 14-15 year-old girls and boys hug each other like this? There wasn't passion in it, but there was definitely something going on. Maybe the two have been such good friends for so long that they feel comfortable doing this? They did it at the end of CoS. Why didn't Steve Cloves instead write a punctuated version of the scene from the book where Hermione helps Harry learn spells-most importantly, the Accio spell. That part of the chapter not only builds the fight between Harry and Ron, but really strengthens the friendship between Harry and Hermione and how deeply their friendship runs. The image of Hermione sneaking up toast to Harry so he won't have to face Ron or the rest of the school was a wonderful moment that showcases the friendship.

Of course, Hermione kisses Harry on the cheek at the end of the book version of GoF- maybe that was to much of a probable romantic moment than the hug. It would have given the end of the movie a nice little kick!

In filmic terms, of course, the hug between Harry and Hermione makes complete sense. Harry really only has one short scene alone with Cho and there is a need for a main character of the opposite sex to even things out
and give a little bit of romantic interest, even if the fires of passion and love exist only as flickering embers. That wasn't going to come from Cho and Harry. It would have been interesting to see more of Hermione and Krum as that is as close to the only normal type of romance in the book/movie. Her "loquacious" comment was good, though tempered by her statement that Krum weirds her out by staring at her to much. Still, Harry is the main character, and it's hollywood's way to pair their main heroes with a member of the opposite sex in a romantic way, even if that connection is very subtle. Harry needed to get a little touch, especially now that Dan Radcliffe is apparently driving all the ladies mad, and Emma is similarly beautiful- it makes sense, in a way.

Look at the movie version of OotP. What is the most talked about scene - hell, what was the most talked about scene two years ago when GoF came out- THE KISS. The brilliant thing about the book version of OotP, is that THE KISS WAS NEVER SHOWN - only Harry's reaction to the kiss. This made the act private and even passionate in its own way.

There was an E-News poll the other day about who the audience thought was the better romance story of the summer movies: Will/Elizabeth, or Harry/Cho- What relationship!?

The question is, are they going to show anything from Harry/Cho's failed Hogsmeade date or anything at all about the fact that she was in love with Cedric and was devastated by his death, and how that makes her attracted to Harry.

Another good question, wether movies or books. Does Cho at any point really "like" Harry? She mostly is drawn to him in OotP because of his relationship with Cedric.
